Contemporary or near-contemporary full limp vellum (homogeneous

bindings), gilt-tooled, smooth spines adorned with a repeated « bird »

tool, gilt lettering and gilt double filets, boards with a double frame of

gilt and blind-stamped filets, gilt stars at outer corners of frame, central

gilt « bird » tool at center of boards, titles added in ink on the boards

(spots on boards; some wormholes or frayed paper, a few tears, a

bit of foxing, overall in fine condition). Dimensions: 180 x 245 mm.

et de 11 planches hors texte. Tirage à 452 exemplaires. Un des 30

exemplaires sur Rives blanc à la forme (celui-ci no. 14), comprenant

une AQUARELLE ORIGINALE inédite, une suite en noir et une suite en

bistre sur Arches blanc ; coloriage des gravures entièrement exécuté

au pochoir par Jean et Paulette Monnier. En feuilles, couverture

imprimée rempliée, chemise et étui assortis de l’éditeur (chemise et

étui frottés ; quelques petites rousseurs sans atteinte aux planches).

on white Arches ; coloring of plates (color pochoirs) by Jean and

Paulette Monnier. Loose leaves as issued in publisher’s wrappers,

chemise and slipcase. A few leaves with a hint of foxing; chemise

and slipcase rubbed and a bit worn). Dimensions : 330 x 255 mm.

Good copy overall.
