Boeck-Drucker”), 1622, 4to, [8]-110-[12]-39-[7] pp. Engr. arms on title, printed within double

blanco, grotendeels uitgescheurd). In zeer goede staat.

Onuitgegeven volledige tekst van een toneelstuk van de Lierse rederijker J.A. Kempens (fl. 1755-

1807), op 15 februari 1789 aldaar opgevoerd door de kamer “Den Groeijenden Boom” (zie de

toespeling op “groeijende” in de titel van het stuk!). De tekst wordt gevolgd door

drie gedichten

:

“Opdragt”, met verwijzing naar opvoeringen in Boom (!) en Lier; “Vloek van Sodama” (Sodom en

Gomorra, O.T.); “Veldslag van Friedland” (Napoleons veldslag bij Koningsbergen, 14 juni 1807).

Two sets:

1.

2 larger, c. 7 x 4 cm, top rounded and 15 smaller, square, c. 2,2 x 2,2 cm, miniatures,

touched with gold, cut from a French manuscript [Northern France? Low Countries?; late 15th

c.?], probably a Book of Hours. The larger miniatures show the Circumcision of Jesus and a

Nativity scene (shepherds near a fire looking at a comet), the small square ones represent saints,

mostly in blue or yellow, i.a. Sebastian, Christopher, Andrew, Barbara, Stephan, George, Gregory,

Peter.

2.

Six letters from a gothic alphabet [Low Countries?, c. 1500?], on paper, c. 4,5 x 3,5 or 4 x

3 cm, cut from a liturgical manuscript. Written in brown ink, with a blue or pale green background;

4 initials with expressive, somewhat grotesque, faces.
