Interesting, hardly known small Book of Hours from the household of Jacqueline du Luxembourg

and Philippe I de Croÿ, probably for daily use at home or when travelling, and altogether of lower

quality than the much larger and much more luxurious de Croÿ-Luxembourg Hours illuminated by

the celebrated Parisian painter François.

cm, old limp vellum (a recasing with mod. paper flyleaves), flat spine, [116] ff.: calendar 12 ff. +

13 quaterniones (some decorative borders cut short, traces of use: soiling in bottom margin, some

minor thumbing), 23 ll., written in black/brown ink in a very readable gothic hand; kept in a cloth

box. In very good condition.
