Contemporary binding : sheepskin, boards with a blind stamped cross in the center encircled by a blind floral roll-stamp, ribbed spine with blind fillets, guards of paper with floral print, blue marbled edges (upper turn in lacking, slightly rubbed on the edges, three corners dulled).
Old Testament entirely in Greek edited by the Greek professor at the University of Franeker in the Netherlands Lambert Bos (1670-1717) after the text conserved in the Vatican. With critical notes referring to other manuscripts and to the translations of Aquila, Symmachus and Theodosius. Illustrated with an engraved title by G. vander Gouwen (the 70 translators offering the text to the King Ptolemy II Philadelphus), 1 plate on double page (the Tabernacle construction) and 4 maps whom 1 folding (Jerusalem, Paradise and Canaan by Joseph Moxon after Nicolaes Visscher, the Holy Land by the Jesuit Jacques Bonfrère (1573-1642) after Christian Van Adrichem).
