In-8° : 356 lvs (dampstains in the margins, some parts of the vol. slightly browned, stamps, tears in the margins of lf. 310, marginal wormholes in the last lvs, rare foxing or stains, some handwritten notes in the margins, handwritten ex-dono of 1686 on the last leaf). 17th Century binding : parchment, flat spine, red edges (ties lacking, mould on the upper board, flyleaves renewed, handwritten notes on the upper one, very slightly trimmed).
Aristotle's treatises on natural philosophy (on the heavens, the soul, the sleep...) in Latin paraphrases (1st ed. : 1501) by the French humanist Jacques Lefèvre d'Étaples (14501536), a contemporary of Erasmus and commentator of the whole work of the Greek philosopher. Edition revised by the French theologian François Vatable (+ 1546), illustrated with 2 full-pages, woodcuts in the text and in the margins.
