repaired, last lf. remounted, some lvs slightly browned, some stains and foxing, handwritten mentions in two cartouches). 17th Century binding : calf, gilt decorated boards with frames of fillets and roll-stamps, fleurons (some angular and one oval in the center), gilt decorated ribbed spine, gilt edges (spine and flyleaves renewed, small lacks, scratches on lower board).
Hours of the Virgin in a richly decorated edition followed by the Hours of the Cross, the Seven Penitential Psalms, the Litany of the Saints, etc. Illustrated with 12 (on 13) nice full-pages picturing scenes of Mary and Jesus' lives like the Visitation, the Announcement of Jesus' birth, the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple, the Crucifixion, the Dormition, etc. The entire work is encircled by various large woodcut frames (repeated) in Renaissance style figuring architectures, decorations "à la grotesque", floral ornaments or medallions. Text in black and red Roman typesetting with dotted initial letters; printer's mark on title-page.
