New York, James Sutton & Company, 1871. In-4° oblong : engraved title-[16] leaves of text, 30 photographs entirely glued to paperboard, text and photographs set within a printed red frame (some foxing). Publisher's binding : full red blind tooled cloth, gilt title on sup. board (tear in superior endleaf, binding slightly rubbed). Catalogue of the firm "Grant Locomotive Works" located in Paterson (New Jersey) and active between 1867 and 1893. It contains an engraved title referring to the winning gold medal of the "Exposition Universelle" of Paris in 1867, 16 explanatory leaves of text and 30 PHOTOGRAPHS OF STEAM LOCOMOTIVES and their parts made by New York City photographer George Rockwood (1832-1911).
