Description
Impressive and extr. rare mezzotint portrait of Christoph Weigel (1654-1725) by Bernhard Vogel (1683-1737) after I. Kuperzky (1666-1740). Vogel excelled in the mezzotints, being the best ones of his period. He made a series of 73 mezzotints after paintings of Kupersky. He was a pupil of Christoph Weigel and made this portrait "obligationis et amicitiae ergo sculpsibat et offere".
