Nous sommes loin ici des dessins dits « automatiques » que l'artiste aimait à réaliser. L'oeuvre doit avoir été dessinée d'un seul trait pour proposer une inextricable construction faite d'objets difficilement reconnaissables, mais parmi lesquels semblent se distinguer des appareils de mesure et des compas au tour d'une sorte de drap dont les rares plis donnent à la composition son harmonie. Cet assemblage d'écrous et de pointes oblige le spectateur à tenter d'entrer dans l'imagination de l'artiste pour en comprendre le sens.

The drawing must have been produced in a single line, creating an inextricable construction of objects that are hard to make out, but seem to include measuring instruments and compasses around a kind of sheet, with a few folds giving harmony to the composition. This assemblage of nuts and points obliges the viewer to try to enter the artist's imagination to understand its meaning
